That was just one of his many international show jumping victories. Dollar de la Pierre

Quidam de Revel X Foudre de Guerre x Kalmiste

1991-2012

Sire of our mare CVL Ulania Tournerie who is currently in our breeding program here at Chateau Vista Farm, LLC

Dollar de la Pierre...

Our mare Ulania Tournerie's sire is Dollar de la Pierre. Dollar de la Pierre or Tlaloc M (May 1, 1991 - April 24, 2012) is a French saddle stallion. Born Dollar of the Stone, he is renamed Tlaloc M under the saddle of Santigo Lambre for the stables La Silla in Mexico. It was under this name that he took part in the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000. He was bought by Zangersheide who sold it to Mr Mars and entrusted it to the French rider Reynald Angot. With Angot, Dollar de la Pierre won the 2001 Sire of the World Finals and Team CSO Gold Medal at Jerez.

Dollar de la Pierre (alias Tlaloc M), is the son of the famous SF stallion Quidam de Revel. Dollar de la Pierre was one of the best show jumping horses in France during his career, and was on the winning team at the WEG in Jerez in 2002. In 2003 he got European silver with the French team in Donaueschingen.  He has left several great offspring, such as HH Rebozo who is ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa.

Other offspring of note as a stallion, Dollar de la Pierre notably gave birth to Incas of the Oasis (1996), Rebozzo La Silla (2001) mentioned above, Ollar de Blondel, Oscar of the Peux (2002), Padischa de Mars, Picador Tame, Polissonnes of the Neyes ( 2003), Quismy des Vaux (2004), Sarawak Semilly, Scareface of Mars (2006), Hos d'O, Tchin de Pléville and Toxic de Mars (2007) Udolatre Heuvelland (2008). Coming from a fantastic mare line, it is undeniable that his dam as well as extraordinary sire Quidam de Revel who took team bronze and fourth place individually at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, helped him produce such remarkable athletes.

His first mother, LORIPIERRE SFA was a great international winner under the saddle of Gilles Bertran de Balanda winning the title of Champion of France. She also produced Empir de la Pierre, private stallion ISO 130 Kamchatka mother of Orient Express, stallion private champion of France 6 years and winner of the Championship Pro 1. We believe our mare "Ulania" is a lot like Loripierre in many ways are we are looking forward to her future offspring. See more information about her on our Mares page.

Cento Lano...

Chateau Vista Farm's past broodmare Caprice VH Leilehof Z  is by the sire Cento Lano. Cento Lano is a nice and beatiful stallion who had a beautiful carreer in international 1.45m - 1.50m classes. He was the Winner of the Grand Prix of Moorsele in 2005, he was placed second in the Grand Prix of Dinard in 2003.
His descendants are also nice, careful and powerful horses, who prove themselves already in 1.30m - 1.35m classes. The oldest descendants will jump the classes for horses of 7 years old in 2008.
Shamrock de Leuze (Cento Lano x Renville) has won the final on the Belgian Championships for horses of 4 years old in 2006 (Gesves). Belvedère van de Dwerse Hagen is another top performer of our stables for a horse of 7 years old. He has won already several jumping classes on 1.30m and special national classes for horses of 6 years old in 2007. There are no descendants of Cento Lano older than 7 years. The Belgian rider Maurice Van Roosbroeck also has 2 descendants of Cento Lano of the age of 7 years in his stable. You can see that those 2 horses have got everything to be future grand-prix horses. We think he gave 10 descendants that first year. 3 of them can be 1.50m horses! He gives scope and quality, horses for professional riders.

The Sire of Dam of Cento Lano is the famous Landgraf I, we don't have to introduce him. The Sire of Cento Lano, Dobel’s Cento (Capitol I x Caletto II) was with the rider Otto Becker a top performer. They jumped the biggest classes and had a wonderful career.

Cento Lano's winnings include: Winner GP CSI ** Moorsele 2005, 2th GP CSI ***Dinard 2003, 5th GP Blaye 2003, Winner of the warming up class Sires of The World Lanaken 2003, 3th place GP CSI*** Brasschaat 2005, 2th in the Challenge for horses of 6 years old in Belgium, winner 1.50m rubriek CSI*** Rosa Vicenza (2007), winner 1.35m CSI*** Lons-Le-Saunier 2007,winner of the Grand Prix juniors CSI*** Beervelde (3/8/08).

What a phenomenal jumping sire.

Bob and John

Seeking the Gold X Deputy Minister X Seattle Song

2003-2018

Sire of our mare CVL Connie B sold through our Chateau Vista Show Jumpers program

Bob and John...

Our mare Connie B otherwise known as "Onnie" is sired by the Kentucky Derby runner stallion Bob and John who was foaled May 17, 2003 in Kentucky. Bob and John is an American Thoroughbred racehorse. He is the son of Seeking The Gold out of the mare Minister's Melody. His sire is a son of Mr. Prospector and his dam is from Deputy Minister. Bob and John was bred and raced by Stonerside Stable. He is trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Garrett Gomez. Robert A. "Bob" Baffert is an American racehorse trainer who trained the 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah

As a three-year-old, Onnie's sire Bob and John was a top contender for the Kentucky Derby after winning the Sham and Wood Memorial Stakes, beating Jazil and Keyed Entry in the latter. He finished seventeenth in the Derby and eighth in the Belmont Stakes. Raced at age four in 2007, his best result was a win in the Grade III Lone Star Park Handicap. Bob and John was retired from racing in August 2007 to stand at Pin Oak Stud near Versailles, Kentucky.

G1 Winner and a top ten second-crop sire, Bob and John stands at Highcliff Stallions at Mill Creek Farm in Stillwater, New York.  The son of Seeking the Gold will continue to stand as a partnership between Magnolia Racing and Pin Oak Stud and will join fellow Magnolia Stable stallion and successful sire Congaree at the farm, which is located outside of Saratoga Springs.

Bob and John's accolades include his win in the Wood Memorial S.-G1, Sham S.-G3, Lone Star Park H.-G3, placed in Hollywood Futurity-G1, San Felipe S.-G2, Texas Mile S.-G3, El Cajon S. and Real Quiet S., earning $996,330. Bob and John has sired several significant winners at Saratoga, Belmont and Aqueduct as well as other top tracks across the country and his runners perform well on all surfaces. Being a large stallion, Bob and John brings not only blood and athleticism but stature and lightness to his offspring. Not only adding specific qualities to the jumper stock, Bob and John's offspring have the capability to cross enter into all three rings successfully due to the stride length he passes on as well as their focused workman-like attitude.

Potsdam

Polydor X Gotthard X Furioso

1989-Present

Sire of our Chateau Vista Show Jumpers and CVL Monserrate Stud International alumni stallion CVL Little Al

Potsdam...

Known also as Potsdam 4 NRW is a black 1989 Rheinland stud standing 171cms ~ 16.3½ hands he was born In Germany and competed in Showjumping International through 1.60m under the UELN/Life Number: 435915789. His progeny level includes Dressage: 2-Dr7 Showjumping: 9-Sj4 and many grand prix winners. Bred by the German breeder Hans Koppers.

Potsdam's sire was the late and great Polydor. Polydor was a 1972 -1999 168 cm Brown, approved in 1974 and stood at the Westfalien state stud until his death in 1999. Bred by Werner Münch. Polydor’s dam, Fata Morgana, was by the Hanoverian stallion, Früchlicht (by Fruhsport) who sired Hermann Schridde’s Ferrara and Bernd Schulze-Brüning’s Ferradi. Polydor’s first international jumping star was Porter, ridden by Thomas Frühmann and fourth at the European Championships in 1987, before being sold to Markus Mändli. In America, Gutsy Monroe was a success with Rodney Jenkins – while back in Germany, Pamina took Otto Becker into the team for the WEG in Stockholm where they finished in 5th place individually in a silver medal winning team. Pamina went on the win the rich Calgary Grand Prix and the German Classic in Bremen before being sold to Italy. Otto Becker also enjoyed success with Argellith Bellenuit, while in England, Michael Whitaker’s Two Steps was good enough to be crowned WBFSH Horse of the Year 1994/95. In Holland, Polydor offspring were also popular – Jan Tops had La Silla, while Bert Romp rode Burg’s Pretty Woman. There are more to come since Polydor bred right up to his death, although in latter years the quality and volume of his semen became less reliable. In the last few years he stood at Warendorf there were a number of mares who instead of having the name of the stallion they were destined to breed with chalked on the door of their stable, had a ‘?’ – this designated those mares whose owners wished to breed to Polydor, if and when, semen was available.

In 2006, Pilgrim (born 1995, out of a Weinberg mare) jumped successfully with Bjorn Nagel, while Sören Pedersen enjoyed success with Polly (out of a Parcours mare) while the licensed stallion, Pontifex (Polydor x Dialekt) jumped well with Lutz Gripshöver. At the World Cup finals in 2006 and 2008, the Libero H mare, Libertina, out of a Polydor mare, was a superstar with Jessica Kürten. The black stallion, Potsdam (out of a Goldstern mare) continues to attract mares at the State Stud in Warendorf.

On the Monneron survey of the top 75 jumping stallions in 2006, Polydor comes in equal 34th (equal with some very distinguished sires: Cento, Galoubet, Apache d’Adriers, Capitol, Chin Chin, Narcos II, Quito de Baussy and Sandro)

On the WBFSH standings for 2008, Polydor was in 15th place before dropping out of the standings the following year.

Beat Mändli rode Positano to team silver at the Sydney Olympics – Positano was finally retired in 2006 at the age of 17, having won $878,936 despite an injury plagued career.

Potsdam, won many international grand prixs (such as Leipzig, Redefin and Nörten-Hardenberg) under Heinrich-Wilhelm Johannsmann. Our previous stallion CVL Little Al was a close resemblance in type, jump, scope, and color to both otsdam and olydor. CVL Little Al has enjoyed a illustrious career as a Grand Prix stallion traveling around America competiting at the 1.50m level with both professionals and amateurs and also with Kaylee Monserrate in the irons. From a pedigree of international sport jumping bloodlines, CVL Little Al is a unique character to be around with his expressive personality. A real testament to the talented stallion Potsdam by Polydor.

Eurocommerce Singapore

Eurocommerce Singapore...

Eurocommerce Singapore is the sire of our amazing import Singacord D. The six year old grey Eurocommerce Singapore was, not far off three years old, the overal champion of the ZFDP approvals in Kreuth (Bavaria). At the time he was called Acquit-H; the H stood for Hof Himmerich, the stud of his breeder François Schneider. Two months later he was certified by the Rheinland-Pfalz stud book. At his performance test in Adelheidsdorf (1997), Eurocommerce Singapore’s sire Acorado I was champion with a fabulously high index with 149.24 for jumping. In his list of marks he has the maximum score of 10 points for jumping twice. Unfortunately, Acorado could not fulfill the rapt expectations for him in sport because at eight years old he had an accident. Eurocommerce Singapore’s dam F-Cora is by Cantus-Cor de la Bryère - Ronald - Fontan -Rushing Water xx and is from stock 5330, also one of the ‘small’ lines that contribute to distributing blood within the Holstein population. Eurocommerce Singapore’s great grandam Solide produced the stallion Federsee van Fier de Lui Z, in state service at the Bavarian stud Schwaiganger.

Some grading remarks and comments from others professionals about Singapore were that he was "remarkable, a gentleman of rank, and distinguished." These are the first thoughts that strike you when you saw the stallion Eurocommerce Singapore. "When you saw him jumping, it was apparant that he can do it superbly. You saw a beautiful animal-one has quality. You felt the charisma that marks him; that he was at his most beautiful when jumping in competition. Eurocommerce Singapore went with a natural, light gait round the course; he swept over the bar and all that immaculately, as done by the show jumping book standard."

Singapore had a successful 1.50m career before his unfortunate passing in 2012. Definitely gone too soon we are blessed to have his name live on through our wonderful gelding Singacord D.

Cesano I...

Cesano I is the sire of our imported gelding Cesatino. Cesano I is a 1994 Brown 1.64m stallion under the HOLST DE321210159194, Lic.: HOLST or Holsteiner Verband stallion. Though not going on to achieve as much success as his full blood brother Cesano II, his dam is included in pedigrees such as Casall ASK where Casall’s 2nd dam, Maltia by Raimond, produced Taura (by Lord), and Taura in her turn produced the licensed stallions Ringo Starr and Cesano I and Cesano II. He has similiar breeder Elfriede Bornholdt, Moorrege, Germany with owner being Holsteiner Verband, Elmshorn, Germany as his full blood sibling Cesano II-pictured at the left including a video.

Cesano I was by the great breeding stallion Caretino. Caretino is currently one of the most used breeders. His father, Caletto II, middle of the Calett brothers I-III, was not tested in sports, but he compensated everything in his short, unfortunately only two-year, but exceptionally successful, breeding career.Caletto II became one of the best breeders in the history of Holstein breeding. Caretino is the last and probably the most successful son of Caletta II. In 1986, Caretino won the stall performance test with excellent ratings, especially for the jump. With Bo Kristoferson he then won 40 victories in national and international competitions including 4th place in WC Gera. Under the driver Ludger Beerbaum, he also won the GP and ranked fourth in WC Gera, gaining 10th in the GP and 2 in the Sopot WC. After the end of his sport career he was used in breeding where he gave many very good and successful horses such as Carpaccio, Caretano, Cesano I and II, Cantona, Cheenook, Connection, Concord, Carlo Cassini, Crocodile Dandy, Coconut, Conally, Cristallo, Chupa Chup , Chica's Way, Cornwall W, Calandro, Joyous, Cockney and more.

Cesano II was picked up in Elmshodn in 2000 and in the same year passed a 70-day test in Neustadt / Dosse, where he was rated 130.58 as the third best of 51 stallions. He was also tested in sport in young horse competitions and won 7 victories and 11 placement in 3rd place. In 2003, under Rolf G. Bengtsson, he won another M-level victory and placed in the final of the Bundeshampionate among the six-year third. In 2004 and 2005, under the same rider, he won three victories (Lübeck, Breitenburg, Lübeck) and eighteen places in the highest difficulty competitions. He also starred in Youngster Tour international competitions at CSI Hamburg, Neusadt / Dosse and Redefin, where he won several places. Besides Bengtsson's rider, Breid from Rantzau, the chairman of the Holstein Union, appeared in his saddle. In 2006 and 2007, the stallion was more used in breeding, but continued under Uwe Carstensen in sport and gained another victory and position at the level of M and S. Cesano II is the typical son of his father. It is a harmonious, outwardly balanced and skip-hop stallion of very good movement with proven performance, coming from an excellent family. It brings the modern proven blood of his father, Caretino, in conjunction with the classic Holstein lord Lord.

Though with Cesatino we imported a rarer Caretino grandson through Cesano I, a lot of similarities between Cesano I and II as well as Caretino can be seen most notably the respect for the fences and the grandeur large frame and body with an exceptional stride. Cesatino is a true testament to his breeding and German Holsteiner Verband lineage.

Activist...

Our mare Indy is by the stallion Activist, a classic American Thoroughbred. Although sometimes frowned upon in some spheres, we at Chateau Vista Farm believe Thoroughbred lineage contributes a great deal to needed blood in future young stock for top competitive Warmblood performance levels. Activist's roots come from top blood Jockey Club athletes. Sire Activist still stands at his farm privately in Pennsylvania and his offspring are noted for their speed and athleticism. He is by Breeders' Cup Classic Grade I winner Wild Again leading sire of 5 Champions and 81 SW's with a total of 154 stakes horses. His first foals arrived in 2001.

Un-raced at 2, Activist was highly respected by Thoroughbred racing trainer Bobby Frankel. Activist broke his maiden in his second start at Aqueduct by 8 1/2 lengths going the mile in 1:34.  His speed rating was 106.  Just two weeks after, he ran in the G2 Wood Memorial finishing fifth to Captain Bodgit In this year he made one more start in the Grade 2 Swaps Stakes at Hollywood Park.  Unfortunately an injury in the stakes brought his promising career to an end.  During his career he earned $51,760 from five starts. He now continues to improve the racing industry standing at stud at Godstone farm in Pennsylvania.

Creating offspring with top hunter conformation, flat kneed movement, and blood, the Activist American Thoroughbred line creates the lightening and gait most Warmblood hunter breeders look for when shaping the ideal hunter breeding combination, thus confirming how classic Thoroughbred roots are a key component in American Warmblood breeding programs.

Dracula d'Avalon...

From the owners of Dracula d'Avalon see what his breeders have to say about this fantastic sire: Avalon Equine's breeding goals have always been to produce International caliber horses that the amateur owner/rider could compete. In order to accomplish that, we believe that not only does a horse have to be athletic, talented and have a flawless conformation, it must also possess a temperament that is flawless, as well.  With Dracula, we believe we have accomplished that.  His dam, Morticia, is one of our top broodmares that has produced two licensed sons.  Morticia is by Mannhattan who himself competed to Level 8 in the jumpers before retiring due to an injury.  She is out of a Frohwind daughter that also competed successfully in dressage until becoming a broodmare.
Dracula is by Davidor.  Davidor, an impressive black Hanoverian stallion by Davignon and out of Wanessa (Warkant/Eiger). Davidor was a proven FEI stallion, having shown successfully through Intermediare in Germany before his importation.  His sire, Davignon I, is considered to be one of Donnerhall’s best sons, having earned Class I scores at his licensing in 1991 before going on to win the Bundeschampionat in 1992. Davidor’s damsire, Warkant, is by World Cup I, who also sired the famous Weltmeyer. Like Davignon I, Warkant earned Class I scores at his performance testing and is the sire of numerous approved sons, as well as top competition horses such as Hubertus Schmidt’s Olympic mount, Wansuela Suerte. Davidor’s dam, Wanessa, is a proven producer and a Bundeschampionat winner as well. She has consistently been represented at stallion licensings by her sons and produced mares of top quality. Dracula is currently in training and competing with his co-owner, Philesha Chandler.
